Warner Bros. has released a new featurette for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.  The featurette is more of a retrospective than a look at the new movie, but it’s still remarkable to look at Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint’s first screen test and not be impressed at how far they’ve come as actors.



CBS acquires US distribution rights to Dan Radcliffe film ‘The Woman in Black’

Did you know? Harry Potter lead actor Dan Radcliffe stars in a film called The Woman in Black, but it hasn’t screened in the United States yet. That will change soon because CBS has acquired U.S. distribution rights to the film.

In The Woman in Black, Dan’s character Arthur is a young lawyer who visits a village to organize the papers of a deceased client. While there he encounters a ghost who is causing trouble for the town.
While no release date is set, it’ll likely be out sometime in 2012.

Deathly Hallows: I Blu-ray ‘On the Green’ with Rupert Grint extra preview

Warner Bros and E! have released a preview of the ‘On the Green’ segment with Rupert Grint, James and Oliver Phelps, and Tom Felton playing golf and discussing their life in the Harry Potter films, the video from which will be featured on the triple-play Blu-ray set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, out in April. The clip released only shows a bit of Rupert’s part, where the Ron Weasley actor discussed what he’ll miss the most after the completion of the series, and if he still sees himself as Ron. That can be viewed here.


Those participating in Harry Potter: the Quest can take note of a redeemable code at the end of the video.

‘Deathly Hallows – Part 1’ deleted scene: Petunia and Harry at Privet Drive

Warner Bros has released the first deleted scene from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I, where Harry and Aunt Petunia part ways from an empty Number 4, Privet Drive. The pair have a rather poignant heart-to-heart about the dangers they’re about to face, and Petunia reveals how she did indeed lose her sister the night of Voldemort’s fall many years previous.

Numerous new clips from the last Harry Potter film were featured throughout, including the Weasleys mourning Fred’s death, Ginny crying out when Harry’s body was carried to the Hogwarts grounds by Hagrid, the trio’s Gringotts cart ride through the bank’s cavernous vaults, the trio fighting and holding onto each other during the Hogwarts fight, Draco Malfoy lurking behind a corridor, and a brief shot of Severus Snape looking at the Potters’ home in Godric’s Hollow from The Prince’s Tale. New Deathly Hallows: Part I 7 Potters Behind-The-Scenes Photos & Concept Art

Warner Bros’ Harry Potter: The Quest site has unlocked its latest exclusive, which featured the making of the seven Potters Privet Drive sequence from its initial concept sketch to the final cut in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I.

Included in the group of photos are: the first hand-drawn sketch of the 14 Order of the Phoenix members outside Number 4, Privet Drive; the early concept art displaying the seven Potters, all resembling Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry, on their brooms, thestrals, and bike; a on-set photo of the cast, where James and Oliver Phelps, Andy Linden, and Rupert Grint in Harry’s clothes are mounted on broomsticks on Privet Drive, with costars Mark Williams, David Thewlis, George Harris, Brendan Gleeson, and Natalia Tena nearby; and the final shot from the film with all the Harrys and their carers ready to leave the Dursleys’ home.
